In October 2023, Red Spade will release her second album under the name Child Actress - Ancestor Worship. The follow up to her 2017 release Milking a Dead Cow (Wyatt Records), Ancestor Worship will showcase a more careful and precise version of her work. The sounds draw from a range of influences from Kate Bush and Sparks to the Cure and New Order. And yet, the grief factor remains - Kozak writes from the perspective of a young widow trying to get by among the living, and the themes of unbelonging, and otherworldliness find their way through the lyrics and the swirling production, helped along by assistant producer Scott Monty Munro (Preoccupations)
