Modern popular culture suffers from an obsession with youth, a fascination for witnessing someone appear skilled beyond their years, an infatuation with the beauty found in the innocence of the young. Child Actress gave herself this title as a means of teasing this obsession - though Rena Kozak, the creative force behind the project, is by no means a young artist.

A seasoned veteran of the music industry as a producer, live sound engineer, and tour manager, Rena has had a successful 22 year long career on the other side of the music. Having started out as a musician, she’s always maintained a body of work of her own songs while working professionally on other’s projects and playing various instruments in a handful of bands in her hometown of Calgary, Alberta, and eventually in her current home of Montreal, Quebec.
